5 Tips for inviting people to Alpha

Tips for inviting your non-believing & non-practicing family & friends to Alpha.

  1. Before you start, stop and pray for the person you would like to invite. Partner with the Holy Spirit to touch this person's heart to say yes.

  2. Customize your conversation with each person you invite. Each person is different, and you must know them personally and where they are at in their faith journey.

  3. Tell them what Alpha is about (an interactive series - food/video/conversation about God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit and how it all ties into the faith)

  4. Don't get discouraged if you get a NO! Don't be afraid to ask why?

  5. Keep praying for them and ask again next time Alpha is being offered.

Alpha is open to anyone in the parish or those who know nothing about Jesus!

Liturgy of the Word For Children

Liturgy for Children will back up and running starting on Sunday, September 12, after the 9 am and 11 am Masses.

ASPYM Youth Alpha

After a short break, Youth Ministry is back! And in a big way!!

On Sunday the 12th, We'll have our first Youth night of the Fall. This will be a classic Youth Night filled with games, food, discussion and Praise and worship!

Starting on Sept 26th, we're doing something BIG, Youth Alpha! Youth Alpha, much like the regular Alpha, is a space to ask questions and build relationships. Youth Alpha will run weekly starting on the 26th at 4:30. Additionally, they'll be a day retreat on Nov 6th!

Youth Alpha will also have dinner! But we need some braves souls to cook! Every volunteer will only need to provide dinner for one week! If you're able to provide dinner for about 20-30 youth, please follow the link below.

Check out the link below to register for upcoming events, volunteer to cook dinner or stay connected!

Prep Registration

PREP Registration for children (Grade 1 - 7) is currently underway. Similar to last year, we will be offering a homeschool or in-class option for this year. It is important to please register your child using the online form as soon as possible so that we can plan the year with in-class and homeschool materials.

In-Class sessions will be Thursday nights, 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm, beginning on September 16th. All new families will be asked to attend an orientation meeting.

We look forward to another successful year of our PREP Program and providing our children formation via our Virtues in Practice teachings.

For any questions, please get in touch with PREP Coordinator Maria Faccio at allsaintsprep@shaw.ca.

New Members for the 7:00 pm Choir

The 7:00 pm Choir is welcoming new members!

In the "Parable of the Talents," from Matthew 25:14–3, Jesus quite literally tells us to share our God-given talents. If you have a passion for singing or playing an instrument, we'd love to get in contact with you!

You can call or text us at 778-867-4706! We're excited to grow our Choir!

Archbishop Carney High School Parents

Would you like to serve on the Archbishop Carney Education Committee?

The parish is looking to fill one more spot on the committee (Stephanie Bertani is the other parish rep). The position runs for two years, beginning in September, and is a good way to fulfil your parent participation hours. There are monthly meetings as well as committee work.

Healing Ministry

Covid-19 continues to take its toll on all of us - physically, medically, financially, occupationally, psychologically, socially and even spiritually. If you wish to be prayed over and be relieved of the burdens, you carry by the All

Saints Healing Ministry team, jus

t approach any of the members available at the back of the church after all the weekend masses this September 4th/5th. Those unable to come to mass may request virtual or in-person home healing prayers by calling the parish office.
