Father Don's August 22 Message
Dear parishioners,
After a break of almost two months our bi-weekly Parish News is back, now under the care of Mathew Joseph, our newly appointed Director of Communications (and Youth Minister).
Three other staffing changes have also been made during the summer. Janet Pearson has been hired as the new parish secretary, beginning in September. Lorraine Joseph has been appointed Head of Adult Faith Formation while Ivy Barcelon has been appointed
Head of Young Family Formation. I am very grateful for their willingness to take on these roles which will be very beneficial for the renewal of All Saints Parish.
A key element in parish renewal is creating a consistent process for faith formation, a process that will lead individuals from their first encounter with the faith to becoming mature missionary
disciples of Jesus Christ. A clearly-defined formation Meet our new staff!
process will allow the parish to expand its engagement with both parishioners and non-believers and ensure those in formation receie the necessary on-going support.
The full details and schedule for our formation process are still being finalized but its initial steps will be ALPHA followed by the five faith-studies developed by Catholic Christian Outreach. ALPHA will be presented twice a year, in September and January, and the CCO faith-studies will also be repeated during the year.
The full implementation of our new formation process will take a couple of years so please be patient during this time of transition and pray for the various faith formation leadership teams.
I look forward to seeing you all at Sunday mass.
Love, Father Don
