Additional information including terms of reference can be located on our state website: https://kofcbc.org/bishop-lobsinger-bursary-program/

Catholic Street Missionaries

Catholic Street Missionaries is an organisation dedicated to helping the abandoned, forgotten and outcast of the downtown eastside. Started by Mildred Moy in June 2016, CSM works in the Archdiocese of Vancouver and is supported by Archbishop Miller.

We work closely to bring Jesus to the streets by spending time and providing companionship to those who are otherwise alone, and journey with them in their recovery.

We are looking for volunteers and donations to help support our cause. For information about CSM, and how to donate or sign up as a volunteer, please visit https://www.catholicstreetmissionaries.org/. Or click on the QR code

Friday Feb 16 - Sunday Feb 18, 2024 | Victoria, BC

We are excited to partner with Family Life Canada to offer weekend getaways to married couples in the Archdiocese of Vancouver!

The Weekend Getaway is a marriage conference uniquely designed to enrich your relationship. For most couples, it’s a chance to reconnect, re-establish the foundation, and rekindle romance. For others, it’s a fresh start. For some, it will be the weekend that saves a marriage. Wherever you’re at in your relationship, this retreat is a weekend to remember.

The next getaway is on the weekend of February 16-18, 2024 at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria, BC. The fee is usually $299. Use promo code RCAVVIC to register for $199.

Accommodations at the Fairmont Empress Victoria for conference participants should be booked separately. Special room rate starts at $209/night before January 26; rates may vary thereafter.

The instinct to resist being controlled or coerced is one of the most perplexing and troublesome dynamics in dealing with children and youth. This video course by Dr. Gordon Neufeld reveals the dynamics controlling this instinct and provides suggestions for how to deal with it.

This material is applicable for all those dealing with toddlers through adolescents: teachers, parents and helping professionals.

Discussions will be facilitated by Kevin Bredeman, M.A.

On Tuesdays, from January 23 to February 20, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., via Zoom.

Cost is $25.

These workshops are not being recorded. Learn more and register at beholdvancouver.org/events.
