Alpha 2023!

February, 2023

Alpha is one of the key elements of our parish vision and culture. Alpha is important because it is our primary tool for reaching fallen-away Catholics, people who have never encountered Christianity, or those of us who want to know more about their faith.

If you or someone you know might be interested in Alpha tell us your availability by clicking the button below! We will find an Alpha Group that fits your time!

How to Invite family and friends to Mass this Christmas

Do you struggle to invite fallen-away family and friends to Mass? Let us get creative with our invitations this Christmas, and to help you do that, we have created a postcard to use as a tool to make inviting easier. On the back of the postcard, write what you are doing, when it is, and where it is and give it to a fallen away family or friend.

For example, if you invite a non-practicing family member over for Christmas dinner, make Mass part of the invite! Or maybe you can invite a friend to midnight mass, followed by a late-night trip to Denny's.

Come pick up a postcard after Mass at the information desk!

Living Joy - Book by Chris Stefanick

“Joy isn’t a luxury. It's a necessity. But how do we find joy—and hold onto it—when so much in our life stands in the way?”

Grab a copy of “Living Joy” by Christ Stefanick after Christmas Mass and learn 9 Rules that will help You rediscover and Live Joy.

Simbang Gabi

December 15 – 23 at 7:00 p.m. (except 5:00 p.m. on Dec 17th)

In preparation for Christmas, Simbang Gabi has commenced at the Parish and will continue every evening until December 23rd. Come and join other parishioners in preparing spiritually for the birth of Jesus. Evening Mass at 7:00 pm followed by food and good conversation at the Parish Hall.

Blessing of Babies

Sunday, January 1st

Calling young families with babies under 2 years old!

Father Don will be blessing babies under 2 years old at the 9 am and 11 am Masses on January 1st. Family pictures will be taken after Mass by the Nativity scene.

Tiny Tikes

January 11 onwards - bi weekly

We are pleased to announce Tiny Tikes, a new parent and child playgroup at the parish. All parents or caregivers with little ones are welcome to drop in any time for socialising and playing. We will be meeting bi-weekly on Wednesdays, starting January 11, 2023. We will begin with Mass at 9am (optional), then downstairs in the after- school program room at the Parish Centre from 9:30 until 11:30. There will be toys for the kids and coffee/tea for the parents and caregivers. We're looking forward to getting to know you better!

Queen of All Saints School Open House

Monday, January 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

QAS is inviting you to their open house to come and listen to what the school has to offer.

Kindergarten and new student (Grades 1 to 7) applications are now being accepted for

September, 2023. Kindergarten students must turn 5 years of age before December 31, 2023.

You can download an application form from the schools website at qasbc.ca and submit it to the school office. Application forms will also be available at the Open House.

Kindergarten applications should be submitted no later than January 13, 2023.

Interviews for all new students and their families will begin in January.

Project Advance

Our parish campaign has raised $105,000 so far – half of that amount will go to the archbishop, the remainder will be used by the parish to fund additional staff salaries. The 2022 goal is $130,000 so another $25,000 is needed before the end of December.

If you have not already done so, please make your Project Advance donation soon. The easiest way is through the archdiocesan website...

  • Go to http://projectadvance.ca.

  • Choose All Saints at the very top of the parish listings then enter your donation amount and means of payment.

  • Your tax receipt will be emailed to you.

Let us work together to build up a strong and growing All Saints Parish.
