Join us for the Men’s Retreat this Advent season, an opportunity to deepen your faith and connect with fellow parishioners! As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we invite you to explore the theme “Finding Your Place in the Advent Story.”

This special evening will take place on Friday, December 6, from 6-9 PM in the Parish Hall. For just a $10 cover charge, enjoy a catered dinner while engaging in inspiring talks by Scott Roy, Acting President at Catholic Pacific College.

Together, we’ll uncover how today’s men can relate to the powerful characters of the Christmas story—Jesus, Joseph, Mary, and others—through reflection and fellowship.

Advent is a time of anticipation and hope as we await the coming of Christ. Let this retreat be a moment for you to draw closer to Jesus and discover your unique role in His story.

Registration opens on October 25, 2024. Don’t miss out on this transformative experience!

Scott lives in Chilliwack with his wife, Colleen (BC Catholic columnist), and six children, and he has been with the college since 2017.

Scott has earned an Associate of Arts degree in the Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology, and a Master of Arts degree in Systematic Theology from Christendom Graduate School. He graduated the program “Summa Cum Laude” and with distinction, and was awarded an Advanced Apostolic Diploma in Catechetics & Evangelization by authorization of the Holy See, presented in recognition of his competence in the field of catechesis and his personal commitment to teach Catholic doctrine in communion with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Previous to working at CPC, Scott was a campus missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach for 9 years, working on Simon Fraser University campus for four years and CCO’s Communications department for five years while he worked on his degrees. He converted to Catholicism from Protestantism in 1999, after he was studying to become a pastor at a Protestant bible college.
